Dana Heller
Partner, President

Dana created Merlin with the goal of bringing great HVAC metering, measurement, and detection products to the commercial construction market.  


Dana has become well known throughout the HVAC community for prompt and friendly service, effective solutions, and for representing great products that work the first time.


Dana is a Past President of the ASHRAE Southern Alberta Chapter and has been a board member of the ASHRAE Northern Alberta Chapter.

Kent Signorini
Partner, Vice President

With over 25 years experience in HVAC controls and building automation, Kent understands your metering, measurement, and control needs.  


Kent's career has spanned on-site building automation controls installation and project management, programming and commissioning, new construction technical sales, and area-wide sales management.


Kent is a Past President of the ASHRAE Northern Alberta Chapter.

Jake Courchaine
Territory Manager

Jake previously worked for a metering manufacturer and has brought his technical expertise on various products to Merlin Instrumentation.


He has a deep understanding of the BC market and how to best meet product timelines and engineers' demands.


Among his accomplishments, Jake has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has received his Sandler Bronze Certification.


He is a past ASHRAE Young Engineer’s Chair for the Florida West Coast Chapter.


Trevor Richardson
Water / Wastewater Specialist
Territory Manager

Trevor is a 20-year veteran of technical sales in the Water and Wastewater industry along with industrial and municipal product industry. He managed and operated two different water treatment plants over a 10-year period, and spent a significant portion of his career selling water meters, pumps, and valves, along with various other equipment to municipal, industrial, and commercial water and wastewater facilities.

Trevor is a past Chair of the Manitoba Water and Wastewater Association and a past Director of the Western Canada Water Association.  

He is the recipient of the Lorne Sayer Award, acknowledging his life-long dedication to the Water and Wastewater industry, as well as faithful and meritorious service to the public.


Leanne Schmidtke
Inside Sales

Leanne brings years of customer service experience and artistic flair to Merlin Instrumentation.

From senior retail positions, to wedding photography entrepreneur, Leanne's work ethic, joyful spirit, and willingness to help customers solve their problems to their satisfaction is a perfect fit.
